the majority of what I've posted to date has been fairly nature-oriented ( with the exception of a few notable posts ); this isn't a fair indication of what I shoot, as a whole. really, I think, if I had to estimate, I'd say these days I shoot about thirty percent nature and wildlife, with the rest being taken up by "urban" photography, the occasional wedding and, increasingly, bands ( something I'm discovering I really enjoy ). Something else I really love doing is taking my camera and heading out well after dark, wandering the city without any real plan and documenting who and what I come across. This is some of that ( these are also a little old - all shot overnight on the 17th/18th of December, last year ).

Most people don't realise I'm taking their picture when it's happening; most never realise after the fact, either. I prefer candid photos, simply because you see something that isn't there when people are aware you're about to take their picture.

"rochelle" - this mural has been here for longer than I've been alive, I'm pretty sure. the artist, Bruno Dutot, repaints it frequently, updating and changing it.

I don't know. I didn't stop to ask. but whatever it is, whoever they are, what they were doing, I love it.

I get a lot of people asking me to take their picture, but I rarely oblige. this woman, however,  wanted to take a moment to compose herself and "pretty up"; I shot her photo while she was otherwise distracted.

this girl jumped in the fountain and proceeded to lie on it, yelling for her friends to take her picture. they did, but not before she nearly fell off it.

OMMMM NOM NOM NOM.

Louis Vuitton's window display in Circular Quay is glorious; I want these paper lanterns for my place.

seriously, so beautiful and delicate.

out of everything I shot that night, this is my favourite photo, hands down.

literally the last shot of the night, taken inside of a bar called the Grand Hotel ( on hunter street in sydney ). this was an accidental capture, but I kept it because I decided I rather liked it anyway ( the bartender gave me a free coke, too, so, score! ).
