I haven't posted in a while - not because I've not had things to post, but simply because... well. time. never enough of it. these are old photos from december of last year, from The Vacation That Wasn't, Really, when a friend and I went to the GoMA ( that's Gallery of Modern Art, to you ) and saw the Valentino Retrospective.

This is the only legitimate photo I could take, for three feet away there was a sternly worded sign warning us about taking photos in the exhibit. Precisely, how we were not to do so.

if I'd thought of it at the time, I would've shot iPhone snaps of the accompanying cards for each dress, so this could actually be an informative post, but apparently I'm not that smart.

also, all these photos are shot, quite literally, from the hip. or, rather, the hip and the disguising cradle of my bag, which explains the low angle and the, er... "creative" focusing decisions. my hostess was my willing accomplice in many of these photos and blocked the view of many security guards so I could illiicitly snap photos of these dresses.
